Overview

This website consists of static pages without a database, without user accounts and without analytics or advertising tools. We do not set cookies. Personal data is only processed in the cases described below.

We process personal data only where there is a legal basis under Art. 6 (1) GDPR. We state the legal basis and the storage period for each processing activity. We delete data as soon as the purpose no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

Hosting

This website is hosted on servers of Uberspace, Jonas Pasche, Kaiserstraße 15, 55116 Mainz. The servers are located in Germany. The host processes the data generated when the website is accessed on our behalf and is therefore a recipient of this data. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with the host.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Server log files

Each time a page is accessed, the server automatically stores an entry in a log file. It contains the time of access, the shortened IP address, the address requested, the type of request, the protocol used, the status code, the amount of data transferred, the processing time and the information sent by the browser, such as the browser identifier.

The IP address is shortened before it is stored. For IPv4 addresses only the first 16 bits are kept, for IPv6 addresses only the first 32 bits, the rest is set to zero. An entry can therefore no longer be attributed to an individual connection.

The log files serve operation, troubleshooting and defence against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in these purposes under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The log files are deleted after 7 days.

Encryption

The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS. You can recognise this by the address starting with https://.

When you contact us

If you send us an email, we process your email address, your name if you provide it, and the content of your message in order to answer your enquiry. If you call us, we process your phone number and the content of the conversation for the same purpose. If the enquiry concerns a contract or steps prior to entering into a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering it under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We delete the message once the enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Please do not send us particularly sensitive information by email, for example about your health.

Fonts

All fonts are stored on our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or any other font provider is established when the website is accessed.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data stored about you under Art. 15 GDPR, to rectification under Art. 16 GDPR, to erasure under Art. 17 GDPR, to restriction of processing under Art. 18 GDPR and to data portability under Art. 20 GDPR. For the right to object, see the next section. You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future under Art. 7 (3) GDPR.

To exercise these rights, please contact the email address given above.

We do not make automated decisions within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. You are not obliged to provide us with personal data.

Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR

Where processing is based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object to it at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Please send your objection to the email address given above.

Complaint to the supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your data infringes the GDPR (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin, Germany, https://www.datenschutz-berlin.de.
